Selasi let all you guys down, didn't he. And I cunningly substituted Candice into my team a couple of weeks back ... good move, eh!! That, coupled with picking Jane and Andrew from day 1 was the secret of my success :)
And Brian, Dave and Matt didn't use all their available substitutes btw ....
Anyway, I won't let this victory go to my head .... but it *might* just crop up in conversation now and again .....
|
Brian is in shock and is claiming derek cheated....... |
Derek top, brian bottom
Wotz going on here then |
Mandy replaced Tom with Jane.
Bad week for Brian, but it's all still very close. Next week will be a critical episode.
I'm liking the bonus for the winner of the tech bake - it adds a bit of spice half way through the show, and gives people who are lagging behind a chance to catch up. Need to incorporate similar in other games perhaps.
This the final week for substitutes - none will be allowed after the start of next week's show, so if you want to make any subs .... let me know.
|
I'm replacing sacked Tom with Candice.
Not heard from Mandy yet. |
Selasi's really was a stunning showstopper. I nearly put him on my team but he was a bit erratic. Still is really but either way, cracking cake. |
Selasi should have won star baker for his showstopper. I'd have plunged my face into that cake. |
Yessssssssss ...... I'm actually not last ! Good old Tom, the lad done good :)
Even more remarkable this week, since the girls seemed to be doing so well.
If the series is worth watching next year (doubtful), perhaps we should introduce a bonus for the winner of the technical challenge just to introduce an extra bit of spice.
( Dave went for Candice as his sub btw ) |
And mary berry is quiting bake off and ont go to channel four.......that leaves paul....
This was breaking news this morning, never mind all the refuges drowning and bombing of Syria..... Priorities not quite right on the bbc |
I thought tom was well and truely out this week, he did not do well...
And even more exciting i've seen an advert for the apprentice, they could both be on at the same time... Can we handle the excitement? |
Matt replaced Kate with Candice - good choice!
Dave didn't reply, so he's currently only got Bejamina and Selasi in his team
My team is continuing their determined plummet on scoreboard .... :(
But at least my substitute (Tom) wasn't sacked ... just, so I suppose I should be grateful.
Anyway - congrats to Mandy and Elly, out clear leaders ! |
I'm replacing Kate with Tom, so my team is now Jane, Andrew and Tom
|
It was close, i thought tom might go and selasi really needs to buck up! |
Dave, Matt and Derek can choose a substitute before next week (2 point penalty) |
Stupid game this .... I'm last AGAIN !!!
And this could be the last year it's worth watching. Bah. |
He was my wild card, just got lucky
Val just scrapped through
|
Deja vu ... Mandy takes the lead :)
But blimey, good episode, they were all on the brink of being kicked out!
|
All caught up. Now to dither about my team |
Well I had a slice of Matcha cake from Wong Wong Bakery on Princess St this weekend (next to the Yang Sing).
It did taste grassy. I think that's only 'cause there was matcha sprinkled on top. The matcha infused sponge tasted nice with a subtle flavour. They also cheated a little and put a macaron on top too. :-) |
Interesting first episode - I've got my shortlist already.
Don't forget that this year you can change your team whenever you like, but it'll cost you a 2 point deduction.
Good luck everybody :) |
Brian just got back, i have wine time to press play..... |
First in! What's the prize? |
Welcome to Bake Off 2016 ! |
